35 year-old Nina is a successful doctor who lives with Ruslan, her partner of five years and her daughter, Romana. Following her mother’s advice, Romana is applying to go to medical college, however, the fees are high and, although Romana works part-time as a dancer at an elite nightclub, Nina is hoping that her diplomat ex-husband and Romana’s father, Yuriy, will pay for their daughter’s education.

Yuriy and his new family – young wife, Lika and small daughter also called Romana, arrive on their way to his new posting in Holland and during their short stay, the owner of the club where Romana works, invites Lika to make a guest appearance, as coincidentally it was at this club that Lika began her career some years ago. Initially unaware of their shared family, Romana and Lika quickly become friends but when Yuriy’s job in Holland falls through, Lika and Romana accept dancing jobs together in Morocco, despite learning of each other’s true identity. Yuriy and Nina are left behind, however, this time, Yuriy stays to look after his young daughter and, having separated from Ruslan, Nina’s old feelings for her ex-husband come flooding back.
