Where do childish dreams lead? And is there any use in holding on to fantasies?
8-year old Oksana falls in love with Boris, her father’s 25-year-old colleague. He jokingly promises to wait for her to grow up, however, soon after, he marries Vika, a girl of his own age. Oksana feels this 'rejection' keenly, as children of her age do and promises herself that she will win Boris back at any cost. As she grows up, she experiences tragedy - the collapse of the family business and the loss of someone who loved her unconditionally. However, it is only after she finally wins Boris back, that she is able to find true happiness.
