Aleksey Novikov, the owner of a small computer software company, needs to sign a contract with his American partner David Coti, in order to expand his business. However, as it turns out, it is personally important to Coti to deal with a family man and so to close the deal, Aleksey pretends that he has a wife and children. As Coti is due to visit Russia any day, Aleksey hires an actress who agrees to pose as his wife, however, she backs out at the last minute and Aliona, one of Aleksey’s employees, is forced to take her place. Aleksey has his work cut out. Not only does he have to build a relationship with Aliona’s two children and find common ground with their mother but he still has to learn the most important lesson of all – that building a successful company is no substitute for the love and joy a family can bring.
