The Weather Station is a thriller in the style of Hitchcock and the Coen Brothers, presented in two intercutting, parallel narratives.

In the first, a remote, snowbound weather station is home to the mysterious 18-year-old, Romash and two ageing meteorologists. Their desolate lives are interrupted by strange traces of an elusive Yeti and an unannounced visit by seductive beauty, Irina Penkovsky and her rich husband. IRINA returns injured from a caving trip and confesses that she killed her husband in self-defense. With the promise of an easy life in the West, she enlists Romash’s help in recovering her husband’s money.

The second narrative takes place in the same location two days later. Two detectives are sent up to investigate why everyone disappeared. As they piece together what happened, the secrets of their past merge with those of the weather station. Their story merges with that of the meteorologists and they get sucked into a mysterious vortex of mistrust and murder.
