Star Media Group has concluded a deal with a Hungarian TV channel for the sale of four films of the “Anti-Sniper” cycle.

Vlad Riashyn, CEO of Star Media: “This is our first deal with MTVA. The deal is very important for us so far as MTVA is a state-owned company, while, historically, Hungarian TV channels were among the most closed ones to the Russian TV content. We are glad that the situation is changing presently, being much contributed to with the growing demand for the Russian product worldwide. We hope the Hungarian viewers will like “Anti-Snipers” produced in the action genre, one of the most popular ones.”

Bill Peck, international sales agent for Star Media who concluded the deal, commented on it: “MTVA is purchasing all four films of the “Anti-Sniper” cycle for the broadcast on Duna TV, a member of MTVA. The deal was finalized right after the dramas having been presented at MIPCOM-2011, the leading TV content market regularly held in Cannes. In addition MTVA showed its interest in the series “Demons” (included in this year’s Monte Carlo Festival’s agenda), “Kotovskiy” and “In the Forests and Mountains”. We also hope that MTVA will also give a positive reply in connection with their considering the new original format “Go Dance!” owned by Star Media and Kravtal-95 (based on the original Ukrainian TV show “Майданc” that was a great success in Ukraine) for the adaptation to be broadcast on MTVA Channels MTVA channels. All these projects attracted much interest of our Hungarian partners.”
