Spring 1941. Richard Sorge, a Soviet secret agent, codename. Ramsay, is working undercover in Tokyo masquerading as a German journalist. When he finds out from Eugen Ott, the German Ambassador to Japan, that Hitler has decided to invade the USSR, Sorge immediately sends a report to Moscow warning of the threat of danger, although the exact date of the invasion is still unknown. Unfortunately, Sorge is not well respected by his superiors and as a result, Moscow treats his information as unreliable. But Sorge persists and, going against protocol, continues to send one message after another. As a result, he is eventually spotted by Japan’s secret service commanded by Colonel Osaki, who has been looking for the Soviet agent for a long time. As war against the Soviet Union breaks out, Moscow revises its attitude towards Sorge and reinstates him as the top agent in the Soviet Foreign Intelligence, where he is set the task of finding out whether Japan will take military action against the USSR and, if so, when…
