New Victories at "DetectiveFEST"!

The series "Ancestral Land" brought Star Media a new victory. The International Festival of Detective Films and Television programs on Law-Enforcement Themes "Detective FEST" was held in Moscow from 23 to 27 April, 2018. As a result of the jury's meeting, the special prize in the nomination “TV Series on detective, law-enforcement, military and anti-terrorist themes" went to “Ancestral Land" by Star Media. An honorary diploma was awarded to the series "What Does Your Wife Do?" In the "Anti-hero" nomination, Vitaliy Khayev won a unanimous victory, and in the "Hero" nomination the jury spotted out the brilliant play of Aleksey Kravchenko in the series "Ancestral Land”.

Synopsis

An epic family saga set in the Russian Urals before, during and after the Second World War. The story is centered on the Morozov family - Aleksey, Stepan, Aliona and Varvara - two brothers and two sisters, with a multitude of complex relationships between them. Miraculously, they all survive the slaughter of World War 2, but not without learning some important lessons on the way, including the meaning of true love, that overcomes all hurdles and heals all wounds, and how to cope with grief, leading them ultimately to a long dreamed-of happiness.
