Nadia Solovyova, a single mother, is barely surviving, in spite of having two jobs to support herself and her beloved daughter, Polina.One day she receives an unexpected offer from the Korenevs, a married couple for whom she works as a housemaid - to be a surrogate mother of their future baby. Despite good money, Nadia refuses. However, tragedy soon descends upon her - Polina is seriously injured while preparing for a gymnastics competition.
